So i have an idea of how I want a water block for my graphic card to look like but I don´t know if it´s a good one So here are some images, this is the front of the waterblock and this is the back the base and pipes and block should be in copper of course about 3mm thick. I know the graphic card is upside down but thats the way it´s supposed to be. Thanks in advanced
Why the heck would you want a heatpipe going to a waterblock; defeats the whole purpose of watercooling. Also, there is a good selection of quality waterblocks available from the likes of DangerDen, Swiftech, EK-Waterblocks, and D-tek; even single-slot full-cover blocks for a number of different cards.
I want the block to "stand" up so you can see it if you are standing in front of it, but as you said it "defeats the whole purpose of watercooling" just as I thought but it would look kind of nice I think, and I wonder how much of the effect I would loose doing it like this?
It's possible, just problematic. Cutting channels would require a mill turntable, but cutting into the inside of the curve has serious clearance issues. 2nd problem would be heating a plexi top to fit the curve. The plexi will contract a bit after cooling and not be an exact match to copper curve. You also have a risk of breaking/warping the video card with this.
