    Hello all.
Recently completed a new build based around a P8P67 and an i2500k CPU with a HIS IceQx 6950 2GB. (Check my sig for full details)
Graphics card was clocked to 900MHZ core, 1300MHZ memory
I managed to overclock the CPU to 5GHZ long enough to boot to Windows and complete the Custom PC Benchmarks, scoring 2508.

Most reviews of this set up when reviewed in Custom PC score in excess of 2600.
Is it the fact that the test set up kit has a far better GPU than mine and an SSD?
Is this the reason for the extra 100 or so points from what I am achieving?

    Many thanks

Did you run the Benchmark at least twice? The score the second time round will be a bit better.

    No.
Should I try running 2 back to back?

    I clocked the CPU to 5GHZ (i2500k)
Unlocked the shaders to mirror a 6970 using ati winflash and have upped the clocks on the card to 920/1375 using Sapphire TRIXX.
As Big Elf stated, 1st run was lower, 2521 but the 2nd run, done immediately after the 1st one scored a whopping 2655!!
Well please and thanks to Big Elf for the '2nd run' tip.

Something to do with the cache but that as technical as I get i.e. I can't remember why.

The scoreboard went when the CPC site ended. For an rough idea of how your system compares to others is either to look at the hardware reviews or in the Custom PC mag.

You could start another thread asking people to post their system details and scores. There has been a few of these over the last couple of years.
