Modding custom star wars memory stick

    Something I built as part of a mod for a company that helped me out with some supplies (I'll be shipping it to them shortly - this a a sneak preview of sorts)...

    Take standard PEZ dispenser [​IMG] and remove the back "hook" & smooth it over.

    Then take a small USB memory stick [​IMG] (actually not this one, but something similiar).

    Make a rubber mold, fill with resin & dye, insert USB memory stick and come up with this:

    [​IMG][​IMG] finally, tweak the icons and your system sees [​IMG]

    Pretty cool, eh?

    This was a lot easier, quicker, and reproduce-able than my last custom memory stick.

    It looks pretty good. Shame I'm not a star wars fan though.....

    Is there a way to change the icon permanently, so that the stick will show as the custom icon on any computer, or is it something that you have to do on each system you want to plug the stick in to?

    thats a really nice idea. next time you could think about incorporating a cap.
