I copied files from a USB to a new external. Than I realised the the ex fat cluster size was incompatible with OSX. I formatted the drive and when i went to copy the files again I found that I had CUT instead of COPY. What is the best way to recover the files?

I've had success with easeus recovery before. Is this the best option?

It seems to be having issues recovering Chinese file names.

You could try recuva? Alternatively can you not restore them from your time machine backup (assuming that they were on OSx in the first place)?

Could also try Testdisk/PhotoRec if Recuva doesn't get you anywhere.
