Scratch Build – Complete Cygnus X1.

Congrats oldnewby, very well done.

All the superlatives aside, this is the best scratch build I have ever seen. It's inspiring to those of us that are just starting, likely a benchmark for the pros, and just screams class.

MOTY 2009. The only question is who places second.

..... like most people I do not have words to describe the feelings this case evokes.... but I'll try anyways.

I remember when it was just aluminium and I looked at the pics, and thought WOW, wish I could do something like that. Then you said you'd add wood, and all I thought was how sillly you were as surely it was finished already. How wrong I was...
You've just completely transcended the aluminium case, you transcended all the woodwork, the whole is soooo much more than the sum of the parts. Like someone said this is so much more than a pc case... it is plainly stunning. This is the stuff I lurk on these forums for.

I am searching my phone contacts for Claudia Shiffers number, She has to see this, She has to stand next to this naked with a pint of beer in one hand and a doughnut in the other, then hopefully she will fully grasp what real beauty is all about. The overwhelming dilation of the pupils, the hormones slegehammering her in the crotch, like a rhino with a santa hat on.
Dribble cascading down her pouting lips and sizzling as it lands on her breastbone like a shrimp on a barbeque.

I have followed this from the conception and I am humbled by your skills and surgeon(esque) excellence in fabrication.
The woodworking itself it of Master Craftsman quality, truly sublime.
You craft materials with a "Faberge" flair, I think I speak for all when I say......Thank you for sharing this with us.

Mdpc aint the best website now ... too simple modds .. there are some there that should´nt be at the website..

Truly an inspirational piece of 'Case Art' , but what I like about it the most, is that it's hand crafted and air cooled.

Hmmmm, can't find more superlatives. Just the aluminium "frame" was MOTM (month) material... seeing the final pictures my world falls apart... no more things to lookout for. No more updates.

But this is most definitely MOTY.
