No, this is the computer equivalent of Jessica Alba flashing us from under a mink coat.

Words can't describe this. One of the most beautiful and detailed pieces of art (yes, art) that I've ever witnessed. IMO, the best mod this year bar none.

Congrats and a bow to you!!!

    Pretty :)

(am I the only one who thinks it would look better if the aluminum were anodized with a warm color? :worried: )

Thanks you all! It's very uplifting to know that you all like (and are willing to say so) what I've
    made. :clap::clap::clap::clap::clap:

    Some questions answered:
How much does it weigh? Well I had to measure the case in three parts because it wouldn't
    fit on the scales.

And it came to.......22.3Kgs. :jawdrop: But in normal day to day use it's not a problem at all.
The feet have felt pads on them and the case slides around easily on my desk if the need
arises to get to the back panel.

No more parts will be anodised. The case is finished, but to be honest I could easily work on
it for many more months. I'm not completely happy with the front panel lifting mechanism, it
is not sturdy enough and I don't particularly like the action, but I've drawn a line in the sand
and no more work will be done.

How much did it cost? No idea. But probably a lot.

Some people requested wallpaper, here are two I really like (The top third of the case is my
favorite). These are suitably abstract enough to make a good background and quality is good
also. They are 1920x1200 made for my 24inch monitors.

When first starting up CX1 the lighting on top was not working.

So a bit of investigating was required to find the problem.

It turned out to be the alignment of the lower rail magnets. Just undid the two fixing screws
and re-aligned them, now all is good.

Some photos of CX1 in use.

Oh, and it's really quiet. :)

I should be starting something new in the new year, see you then. :dremel:

    hubba hubba!

I never revisited this thread since before you mentioned using wood... wow! :thumb:
The top plate with the Luxurious wood and the aggressive alu fins takes the cake, what a work of art!

    The mod is just incredible!
I was impressed even before you started adding the wood, but... WOW! It really is an amazing build, definitely one of my favourite mods ever. Keep up the amazing work :)
