Nahhh not even close, but nice compliment cheers
Nice work, looking forward to seeing this one finished
Cheers Coolamasta, I've just had a nose through your project...that's a hell of a cooling loop you have
congrats on the mention in the February Project Log and Case Mod Index update!
Wahooo I've just seen that, Thanks Crappy
"There is no charge for awesomeness"
and there's very little more awesonme than a panda. Well, the ones in my imagination are anyway. lol
This is looking EPIC saw your mention Feb project log and was like
Those Rads look great and the fan hmm humm.
Can't wait to see more.
Nice work, it looks Great!!!
Those Rads are awesome! I want water cooling now...
Keep up the great work.
Time for another update, All my stuff has now been moved to new house and so I can finally get to work dismantling my old pc and see what needs attention and what will get a just a dust off. The PSU is a OCZ 1250 Watt fully modular unit. The cabling is going to be a challenge to say the least (nowhere to hide) but here's a pic of the PSU.
Next up is the GPU(s) These are from ASUS, (have you guessed that I'm a fan of ASUS kit yet ?) I'm practicing my close up magic so .... pick a card...... any card
These have been fitted with waterblocks from EK, Their site is well worth checking out as they have a pretty nifty compatibility page http://www.coolingconfigurator.com/
You'll notice a couple of quick release connectors, (one is separated) These are rather handy for isolating groups of blocks so that you don't have to drain down the whole cooling system to get at bits of hardware. The next pic shows the backplates that come with the cards. The blocks and the back plates will be sprayed gold.
Remember the ROG logo I was talking about earlier ? what do you mean you only look at the pictures ? (you'll go blind) The logo fits into the waterblock for the motherboard. Yes this one is from EK too. The logo will be replaced by a "DON'T PANIC" logo but that's for later...
When draining down the system I noticed that the blocks will need a good clean and flush through, A bit of silver will be added into the reservoirs to help combat the crud. You can see how bad it is in the CPU cooler, this lil item is something I got a while back (can't seem to find them anymore)
Next is the Ram, I like the Balistics tracer ram from Crucial, yeah I know it's not the fastest stuff out there but I do like the LED's. The LED's flash when the memory module is active.
The last few bits are an Intel 960 CPU and a SSD from OCZ this one is an agility 3 128-gig, for some reason I don't throw away my old boxes, Payed off for this build as I can show off my box collection, I didn't bin that heatsink from the ASUS board either (you can see what I mean about the design that could inspire a build)
and finally I got the motherboard mounted onto the tray, I can now get to work fitting the PSU and drives, the housings will also support the motherboard tray, you can imagine how much the acrylic bends with all the weight of the cards fitted with waterblocks.
That's all for now, stay HOOPY
that's some pretty nice kit. i really like the compression fittings you've got on there. what colour fluid you going for? or will that be a surprise?
PAN GALACTIC GARGLE BLASTER
Ahhh I'm glad you mentioned the cooling liquid .... here's what I'm using (I think UV Green should do the trick)
I'm looking forward to mixing this when it comes to drinks....err I mean filling time
1 slice lemon
15 ml gin
15 ml light rum
15 ml vodka
15 ml tequila
30 ml creme de menthe liqueur
30 ml Galliano
235 ml ice cubes
1 slice lemon
and nice equip you have indeed...
Thanks Sarakon, The kits gets me by ... kinda
Hmmm. i think with that concoction you need to have a serious rethink about your blocks, rads and tubing. adamantium maybe?
fantastic project. How are you intending to do the logo to replace the rog one?
Might I suggest scaling that up to at least standard pub measures, more fun will ensue
I think if I spend too long on this thread I'll od on epicness
Adamantium, hmmm that's some serious material ...
Yup some scaling up on measures is gonna be a must...lets get sh...faced
