Scratch Build – In Progress D33P THOUGHT, ..COMPLETE..FINAL PICS+VID

Ahhh the old sneak a few lines of text between pics trick.....LOL

Yeah It is starting to come together, just finishing off the last few details. It'll still be a few more weeks but at least the end is in site.

 

UPDATE 2nd March

Another update, It's starting to come together and the more lil jobs I get completed the closer it is to finishing. From the post above it'll still be a few more weeks but it's very nearly there. I've fitted the PSU today and the rear view is looking good.

I have used tabs to secure the PSU to the struts between towers, I've stuck them on with that acrylic glue stuff, y'know the one that you apply with a syringe. I haven't used this stuff before, so I had fun learning (thank god for U-Tube) First I cut my tabs and sanded the contact edges flat, these were then lightly clamped together.


You kinda run out of hands and so the trusty little Dremel worktop came in handy


With my hands now free I can apply the glue, this stuff flows between the gaps with capillary action (yup a bit of a mouthful) I did manage to stab myself with the needle, dunno how but luckily I didn't inject any glue into myself...yeouuch!!!.


The PSU is suported inside the case to keep it off the bottom tray, I don't want my case melting away.


The back of the case is looking really good it seems a real shame that it'll be out of sight

if we keep modding long enough will natural selection and mutation grace us with extra hands

 

I like the PSU, they don't get me all that excited but this one has nice braided cables and a decent power output. It makes every ones lights dim in the street but they've kinda got used to it. Keep rockin M8

Cheers man, it is a lot of DVI outputs, too many I'd rather they just fit all the out puts on a single expansion bay but never mind, saves me having to cut a shield for the expansion slots

They do smell rather desirable though, that is always something to get excited about.

 

Thats just looking sooooo dam good. I'm loving this build more each time I see it.!!

Nope . The logos stay. They look a lot less intrusive than in the pics and they'll tie in with digital display of the fan controller.
