Funny time to get up to let the dog out. If he did that every morning, stupid daughter for not realising. They appear to have been at it for quite a long time! Very odd names too.
"Bindibadgi, bringing threads down since 13 posts ago" kid deserved it though. i would have done the same, though since i have swords lying around instead of pipes the kid would need to be alot faster than i am
Man - both sides are understandable. Even if it WERE a rapist, it's against the law for the father to come in swinging a pipe, unless he's being directly threatened. However, i woulda probably beaten the snot out of the kid as well, even though maybe not with a pipe... as was stated before - how threatening can a surprised looking teenager standing around with a boner possibly be? especially if your Daughter gives you a surprised look as well... which i believe is a logical assumption to make... everyone who gets caught in the act would look slightly surprised...
For a start, if I was raping someone in their own room while their parents were home and the father came into the room brandishing a pipe, I wouldn't carry on with my business. There we go, the act of coming into the room has stoped them, so instead of going over there and beating him with a pipe, the parent goes, "Who the **** are you and what are you doing to my daughter" The parent awaits a reply, either: A) "I'm raping her, muhahahaha" or B) "I'm her boyfriend, we've been going out a year, we were making bacon" Either statement backed-up by the daughter. If A, smash his face in, if B, shout at them a lot. The man deserved being charged, if he had acted with a cooler head. Although from what I gather, this guy isn't the kind of parent who beats anyone so much as looking at her daughter in the wrong way, hence the secrey of the boyfriend.
Maybe where you live, but causing harm to an intruder quite legal here if you have a reasonable belief that you, your family, or your property is being threatened (which was absolutely the case). Given that this incident occurred in Florida which tends to be pretty, uh, Floridian... he'd probably be in the legal clear had be blown the kid's head off with a double-barrel shotgun.
Although I obviously don't have a child, if I thought someone was raping say my younger sister, I would beat him senseless.
He suspected rape and he only landed a hit once? Forgivable if he can't aim heavy objects well, I guess. $10k is excessive, seems like a perfectly reasonable reaction to me :/
I would have probably acted the same way, you walk in, see your daughter naked with another kid over her - Your going to be overcome by anger/rage especially when they are that young. I would have been extremely pissed. Man my daughters are going to be virgins until there 21 if I have my way.
Even with all of the legitimacy in his attacking the intruder in his daughter's defense, the youth is still protected by the law. It's unfortunate, but it's reality.
TBH this is florida.. and should be thrown out of court under the stand your own ground law. http://writ.news.findlaw.com/sebok/20050502.html
I prey I never have a girl... I know what a horny little **** I was (am) and I couldn't deal with the agony of daughters. I say that Colon (haha, Colon... seriously?) took the same course of action that any Father would have taken... besides 15 is too young IMO (from a Father's point of view anyway). If they had been at it for 18months.... then 14 is definitely too young, from any POV.
The pay out of $10K, i think i would hit the little git a few more times just to get my money's worth! 45yr old bloke getting up to let the dog out early in the morning isn't going to be clear headed, and i imagin he got the 'red mist' of rage, he was in all right to do what he did, its not as if he continued to beat the lad with the pipe and he phoned the police which makes him sound like an honest law going chap.
Like you did? Obviously I don't know you and maybe you are still virginal, but I'm sure as hell not and if I ever had kids I would certainly expect them to practice safe sex with multiple partners before getting married. Marriage is an important decision, and not one to be made in the thrall of hormones. The one piece of advice my mother gave me on the subject was to never marry the first person you sleep with, and I've found it to be excellent advice. Put another way, sex is too important to be engaged in by two people who don't know what the hell they're doing. Virgins shouldn't marry, period.
