I just noticed this: So, how the hell did the most users go up by about 17000!? Anyone care to explain this? Kid.
I noticed I was getting a 'server is too busy' message when I tried to log on just after midnight last night; does seem like something got borked or was being tweaked over night maybe..
Spambots. Spambots everywhere. A secret Chinese project to clone Kid worked, sadly; all of them logged on at exactly all same time, since all of them had the same instinct to go spam the forums. The project had to be shut-down by the Chinese very shortly afterwards to prevent a fatal increase in the amount of spam being output into the interwebs. Even the great Firewall of China would've fallen flat from that impact.
I believe that most of the population of Leitrim was attracted to the pictures of my ginger beard. That could have caused it.
also why is this under food and drink ??? in other news the chinese found the demote thread and are currently undergoing preperation to invade the uk
Nah, someone posted a link to someone's build log (a thin wooden tower) to Redditm and it reached the 1st or 2nd post on the front page
I think it's this one: http://forums.bit-tech.net/showthread.php?t=243106 Why is this thread labelled food and drink
Forums always seem to be inaccessible just after midnight until 0.30am (UK time), every time without fail. Assumed it was running a database backup or something.
I can see why... So simple, and yet, so lovely! Linked by that kind of site I'm surprised we haven't seen more traffic.
Well, it may only be in one of the smaller subreddits, with only a few tens of thousands users. If it got to the front front page, then Bit-tech would crumble. No offence, awesome BT gods, but it would.
Bit-tech doesn't have awesome gods any more. They all left. The site is now powered by hamsters (albeit hamsters wearing superhero outfits) and managed by basking sharks (sadly not wearing fricking lasers)
