hey yall, I'm fairly sure this should be okay just making sure as I'm more of a self taught electronics dude

Would it be okay to run every drive and peripherial from the comp on 1 line thats just been Y splitted a bunch of times, the psu woudln't be under any more than its normally has nor would it be very close to its MAx W, I just was wondering if there's issues with line clairity, signal strength etc. what order I should daisy chain etc
In case you wondered its an Antec true power 440W.

and heres what would be chained
    3-4 HDd's, 1-2 optical drives, ~4 fans

Didn't want to start smelling smoke if the line gets to hot or anything wondering if any of you guys had exp with this

No problems if you power supply is 450 Watt+, in this case more is better if you can afford it... :D

Ran 6 SCSI hard disks on a single chain on a 550 Watt powersupply and had not problems...

    good luck

Just as long as you don't pull too much current through the wires you are okay.

I'm gonna go ahead with it, my only worry was I was gonna pull too much from the wires or get a really "dirty" signal. I Was gonna desolder most of the other lines to save space in my case too. wish me luck!

Personally I would be worried about drawing too much current for the wire and melting it. But that's just me personally.

Well I had issues running 2 hdds and 2 cdroms off the one line, some of them would power done and any time i ran both cdroms the hdds crashed and gave me a bsod. I just unsoldered all the wires from the psu and ran one uber thick cable and split all the molexes off that never had a problem again.
