From Hansard I think he's got a damn good point. When exactly will Saddam's trial be taking place? Sam
The United States is not going to try either one of them. It's been said many times that the Iraqi people will be the ones to try them and will do so after the permenent government with a constitution is in place.
Actually, I believe that there is supposed to be a general election to establish a permenent government twords the end of the year.
Iraq just announced the interim President and Prime Minister. Saddam held a choke-hold on the Iraqi people for 26 years. I don't think it's unreasonable for him to sit for a while for due process. Nuremberg was an international trial. Saddam will be held accountable for his actions by Iraqis who still need to construct a trail system. I guess they could just try him under the rules he established and take him into a basement, torture him, kill him, then abduct his family members, etc.
Who else thinks that if the Iraqi's try him he'll be found innocent out of sheer fear? "Oops, guess that backfired." In all seriousness, let's get all the crazy people in the world that are itching to kill somone together and throw them in a room with him.
With Sam here --more likely he will be lynched and his remains scattered across town before they manage to cremate him.
No way, there is by far to much at stake. I'm frankly surprised that he isn't dead yet. Nexxo's right, if it weren't for the Americans guarding him, he'd be ripped to pieces in minutes.
You are all insane. This whole thread is completely pointless. Saddam is already dead. The CIA killed him months ago. He will never go to trial. Wouldn't it be wierd if it transpired that Mchael Jackson and Saddam Hussein were same person? Boredom Strikes.....
Would explain a lot tbh. Like why do you never see Saddam at a Jackson concert. Or how come Jackson has never toured Iraq
