My mum has ordered the card I had my eyes on for a while as a supercharged gfx upgrade for my PC (well, supercharged compared to my 8MB i740) she's ordered me the Asus V7700TI Deluxe 64MB GFX Card. She just revealed I can't have it until CHRISTMAS damn it!!! I NEEEEED the TV Out and TV In for some video editing projects I have in mind (I use Flash MX and Premiere for video stuff Flash MX is surprisingly powerful) Oh well. Good things come to those who wait I guess..
So what? This ain't no competition in my eyes As long as I can play games and video edit, I'm quite happy. I'm not an intensive games player. I find my 500 very speedy for what I do, except for compressing videos (a 2m20s video took 4mins to encode/compress - Ain't that bad I guess)) I will eventually finish building my other machine, I'll have a 1733 MHz processor in it, 512MB RAM and that'll last me AGES. Like I said, As long as it runs Q3A and UT at 20fps+, I'm really not bothered.
wait till xmas, pwah, forget that! mider her, beg her... that is really shady and lame if you ask me... fight like a soldier! .icecube
"Mum look my PC has broke" >point at black screen "Oh what am I going to do" >Que crying "Mum I just thought, if i could just have my xmas present early..." Its naughty, but...
nice thought rich... OR! run at her jump on her, get her in a headlock and start punching her in the face, or some other violent way, run around chasing her with a solder iron or a drill. she may give you ur card, or smash your face in and send you to bed... ummmmm, am i feeling ok today? .icecube
If she knows as much as my parents do/did about computers... here's what you do.... Take your existing card out and swap it in the box with the new one and install the new one in the system . Then, come Christmas time, talk about how fast an easy it was to install the "new" card...
I bet you where one of those kids that found all your presents before Christmas wheren't you Linear?... and then modded them... "I don't remember Godzilla having an Optimus-Prime head when we bought this!"
