can I ask a question? why is the stock or raw material so thick? is the thick alluminum material easier to work with? also, I am in AHHHH!!! with the workmanship this project has.
I think the answer you're looking for is because the CNC machines that he is using to make these parts actually carve out the desired shape from it. No bending of the material, just like a wood carving or a marble statue. ... and just as beautiful as a marble statue too

I wish my lathe and routers were at that level I'm still using manually controlled ones so it's a lot harder to do that level of work but I will try one day. Looking forward to the next update.

It sure looks nice, but what did you actually modify with your own hands, everything done by machines, this would be no competition compared to some cases out there made mostly using tools instead of computers and cnc machines. nice work though,
I'm not sure if the CNCs are CAD based in his case, but even if they are, it still takes a crapload of skill to know not only how to design exactly what you have in your head from scratch, but also to know how to use the machine! It's not as easy as it looks. Especially if they AREN'T CAD-based.
