I have a Eizo flexscan 17" monitor, it`s around 4 years old, now it has a dark spot in one of the corners :sigh: Is this normal on LCD displays? It`s not very big, but a bit annoying... What causes this?

Is it a spot or a more rounded area? If it's more of an area then the backlight could be going... if it's really annoying, then I'd suggest you take it to a repair shop so they can have a look. The backlight is fairly easy to replace, so if that's the problem then it shouldn't be that expensive.

If it's not, it could be something stuck behind the screen. Try blowing into the vents - it's worth a try ;)

Ditto on that, old early lcd's tend to do this as they age, a 17" 4 years ago must have cost you a pretty penny, i know my dad's 18.1" was over $1000 a couple of years ago.

I don`t think it`s dead pixels, the area is just a little darker. When the screen is totaly black i see that the backlight is evenly distributed so it`s not that either. So i guess it`s screen burn (whatever that is hehe) Thanks for the help lads:)
