Hmm.. Reminds me a bit of EVE's concept... Wonder if it'll be pay to play.. though I'm guessing it will be *sigh*
why ? have you experienced anything original lately ? Last month is like "Another FPS game?" *playsolitairinstead* Those who played UO in the past know what I'm talking about, it's absolute freedom to do anything. If you get farmed by farmers as you say, you can always do the same but i'm sure there would be consequences once get caught by city guards , or even get a bounty in your head if you do it more than once. Imagine having the whole server come after you.
I agree with you. Simply put this game draws me in simply because of its combat system, differing from the boring button mashing combos commonplace in todays games.. It's another fantasy themed game and that bores me, we have a serious lack of games set in either the present or the future. I loved Neocron because of it's great combat system involving 1st and 3rd person shooting modes, it even had melee combat. The cyberpunk atmosphere was great, it was really something Matrix Online should've been but wasn't because it was dumbed down for all the 12year old noobs.
Id'd love the ability to not just go out there and slay monsters all the time. Probably I'd suck at fighting and do crafting all the time. ^^
I've been watching this game for a while now, and it's actually the next MMO i'll be playing in...whenever it comes out. It's not just "fantasy game" hell, all games are fantasy games; it's also looks like a very good implementation of the sandbox, you can craft, pvp, pve on land and sea. Fully ridable mounts with combat, sea battles, fortress sieges, etc. It's almost like an mmo fps. I'm excited about this game actually, especially since they're keeping it away from the WoW/LoTRO model of no consequence for dying.
