sorry it took so long but I have been waiting since Summer for the 4-way SLI bridge to come to market . . . in the mean-time I switched from the ASUS Rampage IV to an EVGA SR-X (dual procs) and will have 96 gigs of ram EVGA SR-X and 4-way connector installed
#1 - I wish I had a custom paint guy... all your rigs are beautiful #2 - Have you ever built a rig that cost less than 8K?
Simply insane! Wish I had the balls to spend my money like this, but sadly they belong to the wife. Mod on!
There is are no words to describe your work and way of spending money xD I've seen some work on this forum but this is by far the most amazing one!
Darn man, nice upgrade to the SR-X! 98 gigs of ram... Can't even think of anything hat wold use a quarter of that! How did you mount the HDD's ? That mounting system looks neat.
those hard drive cages come from Case Labls . . .I LOVE this case http://www.caselabs-store.com/drive-cages/
Wow, that's an impressive collection of hardware you've got there. I did notice that your sli h2o bridge is upside down. I'll be watching this for sure.
about the fan direction on the radiators, I am thinking about using a design I came up with a few years ago to prevent the radiators fans from fighting each-other. I would make a baffle between the rads. I will probably have to make a new bottom plate for the case out of modders mesh so the air can escape. For the tubing, I was going to bend copper hardlines and then nickle-plate them but too many people have been doing this so instead I have ordered some 12mm OD acrylic hard tubes (like in the Bitspower Crystal link kits). My plan is to use my heat-bending skills to do some really neat things (another guy has done this type of tubing but I plan to take it to the next level - we will see if I am successful).
I know what you mean. I suppose the 4 boys don't help either. This is going to be an incredible build. It'd be worth a trip just to see it in person.
wholly mother of all home multi-purpose machines nice hardware and design. can't wait for the organically flowing hard acrylic lines to match the theme . All you need are some workstation class vid cards mixed in with the gaming cards and you could render like a madman and still play anything you dreamed of without taxing the memory bus . Soooo envious...well done as always Darth.
