my parents hard drive crapped out on them. durring post, it says hard drive failure. well i got it hooked up to my rig now. i can feel the platters spinning, but windows doesn't recognize it. what is a good program to use to recover the data from it. i don't mind paying for software either

Is it recognized in your bios? If not, you will need outside help for the data recovery.

If its doent appear in Device manager, unfortunatly you will be looking at professional data recovery (which is very pricey)

crap, cause they have all their pictures on there. fortunately we backed up their business info like 3 days earlier.

where's a good place to send a drive to, and aprox. hom much will it cost
i got a quote from DTI DAta and it would be $745USD
