Case Mod - In Progress Dawn of War Mod

Next it is time to transplant my internals. Everything is in except the hard drive and I still need to drill a hole in the top for the power supply lighting. Looks like this one will be done this weekend...maybe.
Getting the inside ready. Man this case has nothing to help hide the wires.


The motherboard is in.


And the video card. Good thing the window on this rig is small as I have no creative way to hide the cables.

Up and running.

The mod is up and folding right now. I still need to get some more ccfls and hook up the top one. Final photos should be up this weekend.

Well its done. It still needs another cathode and thatll come soon. Here are the finished pics.

 

All lit up

Here is a pic of the mod lit up. The top ccfl is really bright, although I think its pretty effective. The photo isn't very good as it was tough to get the lighting right. Unfortunately it needs a larger ccfl inside the case as its just not bright enough. I will move the smaller ccfl to the front/top to light up the lettering and put a 12" one between the window and the map screen.

 

Wow this is really nice. I love the paint work and the over all effect. Just shows a case doesnt have to be all smooth and modern looking to be effective.

 

Thanks. Yeah, this is the first mod of this type I have done. I like it too.
