Like Counter-Strike, which received a make-over using Half-Life 2's gorgeous Source Engine, the popular Day of Defeat mod is being given a digital facelift with new models, textures, improved lighting and updated levels.

Is it just me, or is that tank sinking, the one in the pic on the right

Erm, yeah - either deliberating buried in the sand / dirt on the ground, or just maybe some dodgy collision detection between the tank model and the ground surface.

I'd be more worried about the big-bore barrel pointed at my head tbh :D

I think cos of where the barrel is aimed, it would only injure your hearing, but it is suprising that they didnt release a screenshot that was near perfect, (cmon, I spotted that, and I wasnt even picking the pictures).

im assuming its the same as the old dod which means the tank is just for decoration and is supposed to look broken down and buried

    Thats what I think to.

Looks good all and all. Hope it comes out soon, I'm looking forward to the Lost Coast level to be honest... but it would be nice if they got DoD out soon seeing as it was promised to be 'coming soon' when HL2 was released.

^ In that image, you can see the tread that appears to be busted.
