Yeah that would be great. Would need materials to be added but then the whole map needs a bit more loot, more location specific as well for some of the stuff.

Couple of (admittedly poor) screenshots taken by me at the end of NIHILO, ninjaplease and my looting session near the Balota airfield and base:

Went pretty well overall even with my lack of comms. Ready for some *gentle* PvP action now.

There's been a huge new poll added fairly recently for what people want added, check the official forums. There are various options like burying items, hanging backpacks, locking cabinets, et cetera to store gear.

Edit: In reponse to post below: including options for needing two players to carry large items, or requiring them to be held in the player's hands.

Yeah base building would be good however I think vehicles need to be implemented first, maybe with some kind of simple garage to store them in. Building materials would logically be too bulky and heavy for a player to carry, and even with a basic selection of loot my inventory is pretty full already.

Well in the mod you could lock them, would be a good way to store loot etc. Just drive it to the middle of no where and have it as a storage. Gas should be rare though, cars common in various states of disrepair.

The point of a garage would be to stop people taking tyres off/destroying them etc. And what I was saying earlier about weapon reliability could be applied to vehicles - where a bmw last a long time on a full tank it could break down, whereas a jeep would be able to climb mountains but would burn through fuel relatively quickly. Idk why I'm saying it here, just letting my brain leak onto your screens a little.

I think bases should be first. because if vehicles come out first, where would you put them? how ould they be protected? If you can store your gear in the closet of a house and lock the closet door, then you have time to get materials to board up the windows, lock the doors, then you can store your gear while you scavenge for more materials to construct a full base.

I'm suited and booted now. Followed Speed's directions and did a night raid on Balota air field, no one was there, only a dead guy who was armed to the teeth, so I snagged his gear. I'll be able to meet up with you guys now, we can start bandit hunting.

It can be tough starting out, and sometimes what you really need is a helping hand... or four.

Because rocket is one lazy ass programmer, and the modding community out thought his every move when he was working on the original mod, quicker too. He came up with a brilliant idea but never executed it THAT well, IMO.

I'm not entirely sure if there are any particular benefits atm, I know having a foregrip with rails means you can put on the bipod and flashlight but speed has a suppressor on his M4 and it makes no difference to the sound, so maybe that level of detail hasn't been added yet.

In terms of your choice I think the M4 (with optics) is probably better, I've got a mosin with long range scope atm and I love it but that's just me. Nihilo has an M4 also.

I've got M4 with bipod, red dot, silencer and I must have the foregrip too? Tbh I haven't really taken much notice, also my pistol has a little red dot scope on there too. Yeah you're right, the silencer makes no difference atm, but it looks bad ass. At least one of us needs a Mosin for sniping, nice and balanced lol.

Might have to do some looting before we head out then, not sure how much good my scoped mosin will be if people get close.
