I need to pick a group and play only with them. I ran to electro with some friends to meet some others and then ran back to Cherno as some other friends where there.

I got a pistol and ammo out of it though.

I died last night....twice I had a fair bit of gear the first time, which was gutting, headed to some army base and was looting a room then some guy ran in and nailed me with his M4, I only had an axe, it was fairly obvious I was no threat!

The next death I ran into 2 bandits in a building and put my hands up and they just shot me! I was a fresh spawn as well I had nothing on me apart from a map

These bandit players are quite iritating. If you're fired upon or someone's just not co-operating then fair enough kill them but not newly spawned noobies who don't pose a threat.

 

I think you'll find 99% of people on this forum are open minded enough to listen to you if you have some rational argument to consider looking at WarZ/Infestation again. I certainly don't want to talk about the merits of doing so, but I'm just pointing out there's no need to give up so quickly. I read your post in exactly the same way as Otis - no need to be so defensive about it.

 

if anyone wants to add me on steam then feel free to, it would be great to meet up with people and loot together.

 

Got kitted up, raided the ship wrek on my own, my player decided it was a good idea to FALL THROUGH THE ****ING FLOOR AND DIE.

Yes it would seem the ship is a rather sketchy place to be. Risk = reward though!

 

Only if the dayz gods are in your favour. And the trollbandits aren't paying attention.

 

I just want to find a gun - apparently Mosin's spawn in residential areas, the bigger double story houses, schools etc?

 

It's interesting how the dynamic of the map has changed quite a bit - the eastern side being of real value now whereas before it wasn't that great!

 

So I finally got round to getting SA. I hardly played the mod but hopefully SA will be a different story. Can anyone suggest some good servers to check out?

 

I really did like this game at first and I know it's an alpha so hear me out. The game is more fun with people. People you know and people watching you. Problem is that even on full servers I can go ages without seeing a soul. I haven't been killed in ages too, so I feel ever so slightly impervious to damage. That and I have about 300 rounds for my M4 (with acog scope), a pistol (with magazine) and a magnum. Oh and I'm camo'ed up so well it's hard to see me coming.

There needs to be more zombies though, I feel as if all I do in the game is run. Run and loot in order to find food. That's literally all me and the people I play with do, I wish there was slightly more PvP when I play, it might just be my experience though.

 

I also feel there need to be more zombies, however there also need to be more low-level weapons about so that if you get attacked in your first half hour you have more options than just running for your life. Hopefully when vehicles become a thing it will encourage people to gather high level loot and drive it around the map, giving people in smaller villages/towns a chance to grab some.

What benji says seems to back up how I feel the mod is atm - when you eventually find good loot there's not a whole lot to do but count how many fully loaded pristine 40 round magazines you have for your m4 while guys with crowbars get force fed disinfectant or starve to death.

Apologies if it sounds like I'm whinging, there's just a part of me that wishes it didn't take so long for games to get out of alpha.

 

Problem is all the people who are already armed to the teeth are hanging around the places to find it, therefore making it unfair for others to even get close to it, its a selfish way to play really, anyone can sit there picking off unarmed players, its when the other guy has a gun too, that's when its gets more interesting - thus is the bandit way of life I suppose!

 

I'm glad someone agrees, it's all my mates play at the moment, it makes for a very stale gaming night! I like where the game will no doubt go, such as high value loot areas (such as military bases that have tanks or better guns perhaps).

 

I think it's important to point you all to the fact that it is alpha. Well acknowledged to have very little content at the moment and zombies are being gradually increased over time too. It's potentially worth waiting until the beta if these are issues for you.

 

It is addictive finding loot though. If you're bored of not being able to kill people why don't you become a bandit hunter and help new players? At least the reward will be self satisfying. I think once I've gotten really good at the game I want to become a hero type player - I like watching players like FrankieOnPC because they're fair and help people.

 

We're all aware it's an alpha, but opinions help to shape the game at this stage. I just don't have the same opinion when it comes to replay value at the moment - and then I went on to say why.

I could go on about why I like certain aspects of the game so much, but I won't, because that's why I bought it

But yes, I don't play it at the moment because I'm bored with it, so I'll probably wait until new mechanics are released. Main point - I think the map is a bit too big for 40 players max.

 

Ran for hours looking for a weapon other than an axe or bat etc, then found 2x Mosins's and 2x Pistols within 10 minutes, finding ammo is another story all together

I have found any amount of shotgun ammo but no shotguns lol.

Enjoying this so far though i must admit
