ok i can see where this is confusing.

the motherboard does not support 1066mhz memory natively, but only up to 800Mhz natively.

That mobo has enough in it to allow to overclock the memory up to 1066. so yeah setting it manually as you called it, then you should be able to get up to 1066.

I thought that 1066 ram was already overclocked and as it had EPP motherboard would set it to automatically to run at 1066 not at 800
    Cheers

If you have EPP memory then go into the BIOS and find the memory configuration (something like the advanced chipset timings or FSB and memory config). Here is the official nforce 680i SLI BIOS: http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/2007/02/17/inno3d_nforce_680i_sli/3

It'll show you if "SLI Ready Memory" is supported - just select enable and it'll sort you out.

Excellant thanks that ill try when i get home, one question about the ram i think is dead, it just wont boot with it in, do you think that it is dead or something to do with my motherboard settings. Is it easy to get a return. Whats is a RMA number.
    Thanks

Corsair, like OCZ, generally have an excellent RMA (return) service and lifetime warranties. Just give the shop you bought it from a call and get a replacement.
