I need to replace my in ear headphones with a decent set of closed back headphones these will mostly be used whilst travelling so must be closed back with minimal sound bleed and also rugged enough for everyday use.

Anyone got any suggestions? I don't really know where to start with the exception of I'm never spending any more money on Beats after my last pair of in ear's sounded crap and lasted me less than 6 months.

    Thanks in advance.

Mine are great, very little/no sound leakage, and they're rugged enough for travel I would have thought :)

Richer Sounds sell them for £149.95 all the time. They never sealed quite right for me. I would advise a test fit before your buy.

Beyers. You can't beat the DT770 for the money.

Thanks guys, I've got a few hifi shops around me so I'll try to find those and have a test run at least I now know the ones to look for.

See my sig! AKG 271 mkII
can be found for just about £100 if you look around.
A good friend has the original version for over 13 years now and still sounds great, detachable cable and new model comes with 2 1 straight and one coiled.

dt770 is too bulky and don't fold

they also kinda need an amp

there are better options for portable use

    ...IEMs?

I've been OK using my 80 Ohm pair on Pc, lappy and phone.
There's a 32 Ohms version if you don't want to use an AMP
