I'm looking for an affordable but usable KVM switch for my peripherals and monitor. I don't need anything extravagant and VGA ports are fine for the monitor. I've looked at a few but wondered if anyone had any recommendations for me.
Good opportunity to double up on this thread! I could also use a KVM switch for my USB Keyboard and USB Mouse. So any recommendations appreciated!
I've got an aten one I don't use does DVI high res monitors also it does usb and 7.1 audio I'll get the info if any interest
meandmymouth has first dibs if interested. Like to know more about the device however as I'm clueless on KVM gear!
I've got a Belkin Soho 2 port. It's a bit overpriced but it doesn't look out of place on the desk. In fact, it's quite smart and it's built really well. 3 years solid use and never missed a beat. It also has the ability to switch video and/or audio, meaning you can listen to one pc whilst watching the output of the other etc. That's the main reason it caught my attention.
It's a ATEN cs1782 here's the manual http://www.aten.co.uk/doc_data/manual/20090316132245001.pdf A review of it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n8jbWZCzebw PM me if any interest
