There isn't a problem. It was just a scenario I had the other day mate. I was annoyed at the time as well. It is a bargain but I hear these stories about people being ripped off for the same services. I know these shops are trying to make money but be honest lol.
https://www.facebook.com/3000rpm Too much free time today to do that I'm afraid. New job isn't exactly challenging!
Basing my guess on their logo, it's probably a reference to the speed at which optical media is spun during the read process - a CD-ROM being read at 8x generally spins between 3-4000rpm.
My reading of the thinking behind it is "if we pick a big number and combine it with a technical sounding acronym then we'll sound techy"... In that case I think I should set up a competitor called "dos 4000"
Notice since your last post on Facebook they haven't replied. The person who's replying is probably the guy in the shop you spoke too.
He probably is, oh well. My fun is done for now I like what one of the employees said: IMHO, not knowing the difference between mATX and ATX and then arguing does show a basic lack of understanding for a shop that builds computers. Could almost merge this thread with the Demote one now...
Loving this thread, I might even pop up to Dundee at the weekend as I have a shave booked in the groom room. I'll visit & ask for an ATX case, I hope they dont mind unpacking it in the shop just to make sure.
I take it you're having this conversation via Facebook Messenger? They (or he) sound like (an) idiot(s).
