Nice idea. wouldn't look too good under my glass desk, though. I'm planning on doing something similar under my HT system. I have my receiver, DVD-player, a NAS and some network equipment in one shelf. under there there is a cupboard where i have all the power supplies and wires hidden. There is a real mess under there.
that's a good idea. i sort of did something similar on my desk, but just with a USB hub, and i glued it with copydex. there's a metal grid on the underside of my desk so all wires are dealt with cable ties. its quite neat although he has a better solution for the power strip (mine is just on the floor )

That Leatherman Wave is the best tool I have ever bought, wasn't cheap at £100 or so but it gets so much use and hasn't let me down yet. As for that Arctic Silver 3, it has been put in more systems than I remember, you don't need much of that stuff.
