The Swapfile on my g/fs laptop was in three fragments due to the fact that although only 3 of the 15 available gig has been used the data seemed to be spread all over the disc. Following defagmentation it was still in three fragments. I've tried disabling the Swapfile all together, resizing several times but it's remained in three fragments. Do I need to reformat to sort it out or is there another way?
http://www.sysinternals.com/ntw2k/freeware/pagedefrag.shtml Ive always used this with variable size swapfiles and it works a treat. Perhaps try a static swapfile size - most of the comps in my house work just fine with a fixed size. You'll have to defrag first tho
