I'm a bit daft here, but I have a social group invite in my personal notifications, and I just don't see any option to delete the notice. PMs are easy enough to manage because there are check boxes and options to move, delete, etc., but I don't see any options to manage invitations to join social groups. I can open the invitation and read it, but I can't get rid of it. It's not a super big deal since it's easy enough to ignore, but it is kind of annoying that the system is always telling me that I have an unread notification, despite the number of times I open it in an effort to make it go away. I'm certain there is some obvious button that I'm missing.
I still do not see any options to actually do anything with the invitation - there is only a link to go to the social group's page. Clicking that link does indeed take me to the page, but the invitation is still in my inbox. I'm stumped.
No problem - here you go. Here is what I see in the standard view: Clicking on "Your Notifications" opens the drop-down menu: Clicking on the invitation opens the following page, with no apparent way to delete or otherwise mark the notification:
Presumably following it through to the group hasn't done anything? I can only assume there's a reject/allow along the way somewhere.
Yeah, I knew I had to be missing something obvious. I had followed it through before, but didn't see the 'join/decline' option. I just checked again and there it was, as plain as day. And now that I feel just a bit dumber I'm going to watch a James Bond movie. Rep coming your way. Thanks for keeping me sane!
