Does anyone else own a Dell monitor with USB ports and would be kind enough to instruct me on how to connect it up, do I need any drivers etc...
No drivers needed, just plug in the USB cable that came with the monitor into the monitor and then to the computer. The screen will then act as a USB hub. Simple.
I would assume that you'd plug the USB lead into the back of your PC and then the back of the monitor - then you'd plug your USB devices into the ports on the side of the screen (or wherever they are). The screen just acts as a USB hub... it may well be a standard USB cable which you could nick from a digital camera or something similar.
Nvrm, found out now - you need a printer cable - I have a printer right here, hooked it up to the screen and hey presto, 4 new usb ports - now I need a new printer cable though :S
That's good... you could probably just pick one off of ebay or PCworld if you don't mind paying a bit more...
Now I have that sorted, does anyone know where they sell these nowadays... they have dissapeared from the market
