hey I want to buy a new monitor i have now a 22" acer but want to switch to 24" and i saw the dell 2408 is this any good? ore do you recoment a other screen? i love the looks of the screen and the many inputs. i use my screen for gaming and other desktop usage. thanks, rambo dell 2408
Only difference to the 2407 is display port, if you need it then go for it, otherwise save a bit of cash and get a 2407
Do you want to switch or use both? If you're going to get a second for side-by-side use, get another 22" so they line up properly (that kind of thing drives me nuts). I've never had bad luck with Dell displays. Can't say I've used the 2408, but I think it should be a safe bet. The plethora of inputs is always a big plus.
hey thanks for the answers, yes i am going to change my screen dont use booth. The pyshicalscreen size is changed, a display port, a hdmi port and the contrast ratio is 3000:1 for as far as i can see. thanks, rambo
I have a 2407 and love it. For my money you'll struggle to get a better monitor at that price point. Like DougEdey said, if you need a Display Port connection, go for it. Otherwise save yourself some coin and shop around on Ebay, I think you can still get new, warrantied 2407s. I think the only other stand out feature is 3000:1 (dynamic) contrast ratio, but that may be misleading for reasons explained on Wikipedia.
E248WFP for around £250. Less inputs and some would say slightly inferior screen (but still better than most in its class) to the more expensive Ultrasharp 2408WFP £441, but depends what your budget is.
oke thanks for the advise but i have a budget of £500 so that isnot the problem i found the dell 2408 for £480 and the dell 2407 for £420. do you know were i can buy it for less money? or doe you recoment a other screen for that money? doont know about the dell 2707 because it have bigger pixels and maybe it is to big for me. i sit about 80/90 cm away form the screen. thanks, rambo
He's in the Netherlands. "PCBuyIT Limited is a new online company providing excellent levels of service with competitive prices for UK customers"
bet they'll ship there anyway i recommended to someone from denmark on another forum to try calling pcbuyit and see how much they'll ship to denmark for, worked out a lot cheaper for him and dell still honoured the warranty so
Sorry, i only selected the link due to the fact he set prices in Pounds, my bad though. Lets hope pcbuyit can ship abroad. Sam
