Don't like exclusives, particularly timed ones. But that said, I'm not the section of the market Alienware are aiming at - I've not bought a pre-built "desktop" for 20 years, and have had custom laptops for the last five...

Kinda knew this was coming. There were a couple of benchmarks found on Sandra IIRC and Alienware was listed as the OEM with an unidentified AMD chip at the heart. This was ages and ages ago, long before any announcements.

It's good news IMO. I can't even remember the last time AMD were featured in an Alienware.

Pay through the nose for Alienware, or build myself? Sorry Dell.

This is excellent for AMD! Most, if not all of us will build our own, but this is phenomenal for end user as they are not bound to Intel any longer. :D

Apparently the keyboards are using KaiHua switches.

Yeah it's super cool for both. It's been about ten years since I saw an AMD in a high end Dell/AW so this is really sweet :)

I think the prices of the Area 51 are about to jack something rotten though ! I paid just under £1200 for mine with a 5820k with the discounts and so on. Looks like these things start at £2700 or so
