That is a seriously nice paint job. I don't think that having four graphics cards in your computer wil take off, just far too expensive, as standard sli is above what most people would spend already. Bring on multiple cores on a single card i say, much better than just more and more cards, and no space in my pc.

I agree, I like the idea but do it with those Asus beasts to save room.

And even though it is a dell with potentialy good graphics, I still hate the fact that its a dell. And theres always too much crap to clean off when you buy a manufactured computer, or install windows.

even though I feel the name of dell is crap. I do respect some of their higher end models. This machine will certainly turn some heads no matter where it goes and Im quite impressed with that paint job.

I wish I could just go out and buy more ram for my card and update accordingly, So what is really stopping them from releasing a card with that capabilty? Quad video cards is cool but wouldnt 2 cards with double the ram be just as effective if not cheaper?

All I can say is someone better get programming and start crossing fingers. I'm sure tons of errors and problems will occur when you are running 4 video cards at once. Not to mention you wont have space for any other cards.

If you buy a machine it should come with its own Dell Plasma TV and a new pair of pants.

Hmm, 4x100+ GPUs with a half gig of stupid fast memory on each, complete with a slot to breathe between each card... Does anyone else smell burning? Looks like Dell just signed a big contract with PCP&C, because with an 850SSI, you're not getting it on with that kind of hardware. Plus, in a machine that extreme, what's Dell doing with pedestrian parts such as DDR2-667 in 2GB amounts? If i were going balls to the wall, it would need to be at least 4GB of DDR2-800. Those cards are going to be hungry.

This is getting stupid... the amount of cards that is. We need multiple graphical cores.

How they can put four graphics cards into one machine and they say a dual card sff is stupid and would get too hot. Go figure

Though one good thing that could come from this will drive down graphic card prices. Back down to something like £300-£350 for the best and £150-250 for mid range.

As long as it doesn't perform like another of Dell's "Gamers Oriented" machines, as reviewed by [H]ardOCP. Can you say "Bloated" anyone?

Yes, I rather thought you could...

So these 4 graphics cards are two cards bolted together x2 right, with air cooling from a fan that is >1cm from the next card? 4 cores creating much heat with one core having fresh air. Needs to be water cooled, and foget the 850W PCP&C you will need the 1KW PCP&C. Nice overclock thogh. Prefer a FX60 in there.
Would to see some heatpipes in there to the top of the case were you can fry some eggs when you get hungry

Trouble is, whoever buys this won't be able to use it for at least a week, what with getting rid of dells junk they put on it. My mums dell laptop came installed with "support" for 5 isps, a "my search" helper and loads of rubbish.

    Who's gonna try 4 ASUS 7800GT duo's??? :D Thad be 8 GPU's my friends...

I think that record 3D mark score done by those Svedish guys was just broken!

And that would be a better machine with AMD... Regardless of Dell's inovation and loyalty to Intel.

I wonder what would happen if you get that Quad SLI Royale board from Gigabyte, and hook up 4 of these things. Octa-SLI!

Id guess that has something to do with why the cards are clocked at a mere 430MHz as opposed to 550+

I'd love to see someone slot some low profile blocks in there and clock them up to 600 core. Would rather see an FX60 in it though. (actually, I'd rather see 2x280 or an overclocked yonah in there, anyone seen the benchmarks on them? :jawdrop: 29s superpi at 2.16GHz on whats as good as a chipset hsf, OOO engine pwns)

I must say, this is the first time I've lusted after a dell

    quoted for ****ing truth
multiple cards is stupid, multiple cores on 1 card = :cooldude:
i personally dont ever want to use sli/crossfire multiple card business, just seems daft to me
however 2 (or more) cores on one card i'd buy in an instant
edit: by 2 cores on 1 card i dont mean those 'sli on a single card' things we have now, actually 2 cores built into 1 chip

i would like to see benches of this tho, i'd love to see just how little difference a 4th card actually makes :p

Looks amazing, but still, sli is very much, we cant get any faster so lets make people buy more cards, I don't think sli or crossfire will be a lasting technology. Still wants it though.

You dont have the space for heat dispersion for multiple cores or gigs of memory, currently.
