im not sure if this is a mod but i need some help :p

went to the computer fair, was kinda crap compared to last time i went all those months ago, fewer stalls but i did see these nice dell keyboards at bargain price of £2.50 so i got one, catch is they are Italian. so some of the keys are out of place, some keys i can just move to fit the english keyboard standard.

does anybody know how i can remove the key labels, is it even possible, and what is best way to replace them, can you buy these label sets or will i have to use rub on transfers of some sort?

^^ image of keyboard, using it now, i can touch type so i dont really look at keys i just press and it comes out the way i want but i still know in my head they look different !!! wht can i say.. perfectionist inside ;)

any help would be greatly appreciated. can i class this as my first mod if i do it??

paint all the keys whatever color you want. get some rub-on tattoo paper. print out all the symbols and letters in your favorite font on that paper. apply the "tattoos" of the letters to their apppropriate keys. now, this isnt permanent...yet. get a can of clear-coat and spray 2 coats over the keys and those letters wont come off for a long long long time.

and while your at it, get rid of that dell logo.

EDIT: If you want black keys and a contrasting letter color, go somewhere like Kinko's (or any other print shop) and have them print the letters with a white or grey ink.

thanks elthomsono, although it was £2.50 i dont feel confident enough to do that method, although it seems like the neatest way of removing the lettering at the moment, awesome find.

i want one of those keyboards, looks quite awesome-
sanding back/ clearcoat then stencils seems the best way to go, just make sure you dont mix em all up in the end .i dont even use letters on my keys anymore though, sanded them all off-then swapped arrow keys for wasd :p
