hmm...not a bad attempt. still think I'd go with the Eee PC over it.

However, I just found this one out, and I'd want it over the Eee PC...check it out:

In my defence, I'm starting half an hour later on my full-time job owing to school holidays so I'm writing my stories first thing in the morning instead of last thing at night this week. While this gives me more free time, it does mean the articles this week are written by Sleepy Garethâ„¢ - hence blunders like that one. Which I actually managed to do twice in the same article, despite having the link to Gizmodo right there in the text. <sigh />

For a box to type notes, surf the web and do email, any of these small PCs have a definite future. But you have to be accepting of their limitations and not try to use them for something they're not really designed for.

For a niche market, I can see one of these with a big HD 320gb, for example, and Photoshop elements and you would have an excellent system for digitial photographers to carry around for quick field work. Something to offload your images to, maybe check out a few and then submit them to whoever you're shooting for. Lugging a larger notebook around for this does get a bit tiresome after awhile.
