SO? Dell makes very good quality laptops... And a laptop isn't something you change the hardware from (exept maybe HD or RAM) so why not go for a good Dell?

Reminds me of those Sony Vaio all in one computers to me. I know it's a bit of a none-issue on something like that, but I wonder what the battery life is like on it considering the size of screen it's powering...

You're a bit of a wally, aren't you? Not only do Dell make some VERY good laptops, this is one of the ONLY 20" Lappys I've seen, and from my own personal experience, their tech support is second to none. Where else can you get the personal(work) email address of the support tech you are dealing with for resolving ongoing queries?

If we're REALLY going to be picky, your sig looks like its 6 lines long to me. You know there's a rule against that, right? Check here.

Glider has the right idea. [/ignore]

battery i don't imagine is your main conern with this. TBH i wouldn't be suprised if it didn't come with a battery because it really is more a portable computer than a laptop. It for the same type of people that would buy those all in one one vaio's that were pointed to.

On the tech support note, dell are brilliant in my experience. Had two issues that weren't their fault and both were rectified next day.

I think it does come with one of their hefty 9cell batteries. You woul probably get about an hour out of it. It is clearly a desktop replacement, but I think it is this defining unit that blurs the line between desktop and laptop...

The onbly thing I want is that remote, looks awesome, laptop hybrid is interesting, yet is a product created for a market that is so small and that does'nt exist... trying to create a market with this XPS M2010 and hoping it will sell.. and just look at the price!

BTW can you get that remote for any Media Centre with an IR sensor? Looks ace with the point and click mouse interaction...

Well, tbh, if it wasn't 2 grand, I'd buy one, fo' shizzle. If it were a grand, I'd be more tempted, but it is their brand new, flagship model, and it is the only 20" I've seen. So I'll excuse the initial high price.
