I've been looking around for a version of Delphi (the programming language) which is compatible with Vista and I havn't been having much luck.

I've tried Delphi 7 so far, and when I ran it, it said specifically that Vista knew it wouldn't work, so I should get a more up-to-date version of it.

I've been looking around now, and I can't find any versions of Delphi 2007 (for example) which say they will work with a 64-bit version of Windows.

So, can anyone help me find a version of Delphi which will be compatible with Vista 64-bit?

I never used Delphi, but you don't need to look for a specific version of Delphi that support specifically Vista 64-bit. If it says it supports "Vista" or "Vista 32-bit" or "Vista x86", it SHOULD work under Vista 64-bit. They usually don't say Vista 64-bit compatible when the software was not deeply tested under that environment. What I am saying is theoretically, if it's not using 16-bit application, or some odd workaround which only exists on the 32-bit version of XP and somehow Vista 32-bit in the code, than it should work fine under Vista 64-bit.

If you do try and it has issues, it might be the same issue with Vista 32-bit. Try running the program under compatibility as Windows XP (Windows Vista will perform the translation), and as Administrator. Unlike XP compatibility mode, it actually performs the translation and not go: "OK whenever this application asks 'what OS I am', I respond whatever the user told me to say. This genius way of thinking MUST WORK!"
