I think you'll find that 5 is much closer to the actual average. Men, and women, have an unrealistic view of what women in general look like (and what they "should") look like.

However, if you live in the US then 6 or 7 is probably average.

2 through 5 are all in the range of attractive to me though.
0 and 7 can be described in the simple phrase of "do not want"

 

3 to 5 = Cheesecake

 

1 to 5 for me, not sure I have a specific preference within that range though 1 is on the limit of attractiveness for me. 0 and 6+ = do not want.
