@ Coolmeister: That's the thing I was thinking of, but I couldn't remember the link. Thanks for finding it!

    @Rancidflannel: Like I said: an actuator. :D

Whichever way you go, don't forget the gas filled lifting pistons to counterbalance the weight of the case (a small one in each corner). It will put less strain on the motor and make the whole thing move more smoothly and quietly. You can find small pistons suiting your requirement easily; they use them for instance in kitchen wall cabinet doors (the ones that open upwards).

    OK, update on my drawings

    [IMG] [IMG]

This is will be a good solution, I hope.

A small window in the inner wall, 4 * 4 cm. (less if possible).
Where can i get a wheel like this (Is it called wheel, dunno the word so its difficult to use google?)?
And the wheel should be enable to turn around 360 deg.(If I will need a 4 point lift up)

    Watercooling

    Watercooling list:

    CPU block
    NB block
    GBP block

Pump (I guess Ehiem 600 l/t will be enough)
    Waterres (Water tank
Radiator (to use with two 120mm fans)

Where can I get a set with a dobble 120mm fan, can`t find it.

But my main question is where is the best place on the web to buy used water set/parts (UK)
    And where is it cheapest?
And how is the rules, if u buy something in the US from UK (taxas, delivery time)?

well.. since u have a water cooling system in there already... how about making some hydraulic actuators (thats hydraulic, not hydrolic). that is, use the presure from ur water-pump to raise the system, would proabably work, and all u need is the actuators and a waterswitch (which could be mechanical). just a thought.

i tore the motor out a one of those big box fans, the white ones that are loud as h3ll. the motor was really quiet without the fan on it and seems pretty strong, that is a cheap motor. though it is ac :miffed:

It will be to little power with a fan motor.

ok put your finger in a box fan and see what it does... :naughty:

this is the kind of fan that i am talking about...

had a 20" blade on it, probably blew about 700cfm guessing. you can buy a new one at walmart for like 20bucks, or find a old one somewhere.[IMG]

    Sorry.
That can be an idea, do u know how much it can lift?
    AC what does that meen?
    Is it a 240 V fan or 12-24V?

PS! Your picture doesn`t work, you have to change permissions on the file. :)

    New pushing system.

I have now changed my mind, I`ll go for an Electrical Linear Actuator.

Its used to puch up doors etc.

    160-250 $ ohhh I`ll get broke :-|

Question, are there any webshops that sells a water res. for watercoooling, that have a window that uses 2 * 5,25" bay.

I now hope my old computer will RIP. After uninnstalling the CPU cooler, to have the fan and sink rinsed. The CPU and motherboard went to bed, and to never wake up again.

So after this set back, Im know even a more poor student then earlier this year.

    New components:

    - AMD 64 3200+
    - Twinmos 512mb PC3200 *2 (1024 RAM)
    - MSI K8T Neo FSR2R
    - Sapphire Radeon 9600XT 128mb
    - Enermax 460W Silent twin fan PSU

3DMark03 : 3940 (with DC++ running with 250k/s download, and no overklokking or tuning)

But now I`m ready to continue my project, after three weeks without computer, (though I have a PowerMac Laptop)

Anyone know of a cheap WaterJet cutter in the UK.

    Any help is needed. :)

I don't mean to hijack or anything but have you considered making a linear actuator yourself? All you need is some all-thread of appropriate diameter and that servo and there you go. Should be more stable and stronger (able to lift more than a conventional winch system). Good luck, looks very good. :thumb:

But is to hide all my cables comming from the back of the case down under the table.. so it looks clean ( one for PCI/AGP and one for I/O )

The pipe from the nut, shall be some sort of bendable metal..
The nut and the male nut??? shall be 10 cm in dia.

    Where can I get this?
