12v car window/sunroof motor will lift 20-25 kg with ease , just see robot wars .
any way mount on its side with 4 lines one for each corner on a small runner and use cut out micro switch to stop/start and bingo = cheep-powerfull-quiet.
    well good luck

So where can I buy a sunroof engine, and what will it cost?

    Update on my model...
It looks like I have actually made to design it with the right dimmensions. :jawdrop:

So its closing in to realisation. :D

Only thing I have to do know, is to make a complete shopping list... that will take some time, Its a lot of parts.. :sigh:

And I need a good quote from a water jet cutting company. Anyone know of any good ones?

It would be a lot cheaper if you cut out that foot design yourself, rather than water cut it. Its not that complicated of a design. If you don't think you can do it yourself, find someone in your area (maybe someone on Bit-tech) who could dremel it for you for cheap (free if your lucky) :thumb:

    About doing it with dremel...

    3mm thick aluminium..... with dremel??

Have you read the whole tread?

Its not just the foot thats going to be cut out. I guess its app. 100 + holes... So im giving the job to some pro's.

Everything is drawen in autocad.. so its just for them to give their machine the files, and it will do the job...

I guess it will be around £10 for each plate.
    It will be
    12 big ones 34*34cm
    4 half big 15*34 cm
    10 small 5*10cm

and 15 L shaped connecters for the walls...

I guess it will cost me £250-350

Having built a 3mm thick aluminum cube myself, I would highly advise you to not use a Dremel on this (unless you want to spend 6 weeks cutting it and about 3000 Dremel cut off wheels). It's far too thick to effectively use a Dremel. Go get yourself a jigsaw and some files, you'll save yourself time, money and headaches. :wallbash:

Are you a North Carolina Tarheels fan? That's kind of what your logo looks like :D

Just wondering, not from NC or anything... :hehe:

    Update!

Is this a good solution for the PSU?

    I have a Enermax 460W PSU 2 fans.

The PSU its turn oppside down, when the power button and fan out will come out through the "floor" of the case.

And the fan thats used to suck air from the CPU in a regulary case. Will now suck air from outside the case (or between the first wall and the second one)

I do this because I think the PSU won't make that much sound because its temp regulated.

And hopefully the air is colder outside tha case the inside.

This is my solution for the CD-ROM and Harddrive rack..

at the top will there be space for upto 5 HHs. And they will be connected to the rack with rubber, ( so they dont make any sound...)

    Does all this look good?

Why not just use rubber between your drive rack and the actual case? Your CD drives would cause just as much vibration and extra noise.

    Code:
looking straight on, and looking sidways

    3 11/32

    3 / 2,54 cm = 7,62 cm

    +

    2,54 / 32 * 11 = 0,87 cm

    = 7,62 + 0,87 cm = 8.49 cm.

After all this talk about the PSone LCD, and my order of one, made need of changes.

right hole, 5" Psone LCD. (not sure if the backpanel on the LCD will fit maybe I have to lift the hole a bit.. but Ill get it on tuesday, so then ill have the sizes.. and hopefully ill order the cutting a week later.

5.25" bay is ment for fan controller

4 holes over the 5.25" bay, is for 4 switchs for my cold katodes and lighted acryl feets)

    - UV light in case
    - Blue light between innercase and outher case (will light of the "gnomon icon")
    - Red light in case
    - Blue lighted feets (8 feets lighted with one blue 5v led for each foot.)

Though im not sure how to make the electrical setup for the switches..

The 5 holes of diffrent sizes at the top are from left..

    - hd active led.
    - pneutanic system
    - Power button, with power led
    - Reset button
    - 2nd power led.

If anyone vil setup this electrical thing to, be my guest..
Im retared when it comes to el.
