Hi, I'm after a desk light that I can use to light my PC for taking some shots with D60. Is there something relatively inexpensive I can use for this? Because my internet at work defaults to american search, this came up: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=productlist&A=details&Q=&sku=48733&is=REG Along with this bulb: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/808365-REG/Ushio_1000264_EBW_Lamp_500W_115_120V_4800K.html Is there an equivalent I can get in the UK? Apologies for my idiocy but I really know nothing about this sort of stuff! Any help would be very much appreciated.
B&Q Work like 500-1000w they are really cheap, really crude but will work but they do get extremely hot :S. or this Constant studio light or this little fella There are loads on ebay cheap constant lights.
Thanks for the reply. So something like this - http://www.diy.com/nav/decor/lighting/indoor-lighting/table___floor_lamps/-specificproducttype-table_lamps/Colours-by-B-and-Q-Alfie-Desk-Lamp-Black-11727660 And then sticking 1000w bulb in it?
Probably more like this? http://www.screwfix.com/p/portable-site-light-240v-400w/46377 50w Desk light probably hasn't got the guts to remove shadows and wouldn't be able to sink 1kw of heat. Arghh. Ninja'd to exactly the same link!
Just buy 2 of the 500w work lights position them so they are either side of you point 45degrees towards your computer that will give a nice flood of light that will elimate shadows.
Also keep you warm , if you had a slightly higher budget I would recomend a couple speelites Yongnuo 460s or something like that, then you wouldn't get blinded .
