I'm considering buying, mostly interested in a KISS DP-1000.
Anyone had any experience with it or any other desktop divx player?

Well it's for my dad who isn't very technologically minded so i'm afraid a modded xbox isn't possible!

Toshiba SD340E - rivals some £200+ players in terms of DVD picture quality and plays DivX to boot. A steal at under £80 delivered. Don't scrimp on cables! You can get Thor RGB scart cables from www.tvcables.co.uk for under £18 so no excuses ;)

lol, no affiliations I promise :) Just trying to help a brother out.

I thought about posting in the bargain forum. They really are great cables for the money :) Decent interconnects are important. A system is only as good as it's weakest link.... and all that jazz :D

Cheers for the Toshiba idea, however the Kiss was a bit cheaper as well as having excellent firmware support so I opted for it instead.
