    so the tl:dr version is

We was going to release another game that wasn't quite finished yet but after all the complaints about all the other games we have done it with we have decided to finish it first.

Disappointed, coz I AM really looking forward to HR, but I take this as a good sign in general.

It means they aren't willing to pump out whatever just to make short-term cash. They want to protect their brand by releasing GOOD games.

BUT..... it does imply they don't have 100% confidence in what they already HAVE. Seeing as the game has been delayed so long as it is and must be about done... how much can they really change now??

Aww, was really looking forward to it. I was going to help my brother build a new system in anticipation of this game and all!

Had this on pre order since it became availble. I'd much rather wait and have a polished game :)

dont think this game will be good TBH. Too many great titles coming in 2011, especially if you have a PS3.

If they screw it up I'm going to build a robot army to destroy them!!! (and seeing as I'm doing a Robotics degree I will be able too)

As I don't really play MMOs... are there any that have really done well since World of Warcraft came out? As for Squenix... they had a great game with Just Cause 2... it's just a pity they messed up their 'big' IP so much. FFXIV was doomed from the start.

If this delay means they're going to polish it more (particularly the PC version - if the PC version of HR is as head-and-shoulders above the console versions as the the PC version of Just Cause 2 was) then I'm not unhappy about a delay. If, however, it comes out and is laggy, buggy and generally a poor console port affair... :(

Shame, I've been really looking forward to this, mind you with the amount of stuff coming out late March/early April I imagine there will be plenty to keep my mind occupied :)

I am looking forward to this and I don't mind the delay if it means they will produce something worthy of the name. I am still playing the original (which is actually better on the PS2 than on the PC :S)

Well, kudos to them for not adopting the industry wide habit of pushing a product out at all costs, since some manager decides that the extra 6 months spent making it great would not outweigh the delay in sales and his Christmas bonus.

More seriously this is a game I want to like so much but in the back of my mind there is this little voice carefully trying to manage my expectations.

+1 - You really can polish a turd, but even a shiny turd is still a turd

Good. I'd rather have a late but finished game, rather than an on time but hideously flawed or cut down game.

He writes that about pretty much any game... :)

As for DX:HR itself, I concur with the majority here. I'd rather have a delayed but great game than a rushed one which sucks a???...

Actually, the material I've seen so far looks pretty good, including but not limited to the gameplay trailer that's up on DeusEx.com.
