So pissed off right now - I've been playing it in the UK since Wednesday by using the known method of 'trickery' via Steam. It's crashed occasionally but nothing major.

Well tonight I can't play it, just keeps crashing to desktop or completely to the point I have to reset every 1 to 2 minutes. Just had an Nvidia Kernel error that last time. Not sure wtf has changed in 24 hours other than it becoming available in the UK..

    Typical..

I've had a bunch of crashes - seemingly at random. Most of the time it plays fine though :)

Not had a single crash yet, just got to the 2nd city location having played through some areas in Detroit more than once just for the experience.

Another great game ruined by bugs. :eyebrow:

Less than 5 minutes in I had my first crash and after updating my graphics drivers (ATI) it has been better but I still get random RTD desktop and lock ups.

Not a single bug or crash for me in 10 hours of play so far. Loading times are fairly snappy too.

    Got i2500k and GTX 260.

14 Hours played, no problems whatsoever, no crashes, bugs or glitches at all - currently in Montreal doing what Jensen does best!

    Hardware as below!

NO bugs or crashes here. Hardware as in sig.

I had some input lag problems with SSAO on high, but normal setting cures that. No discernible difference between the two settings either.

I lockup sometimes in the loading between levels, happens around every 2 hours I would say.

~22hrs, completed the game, no real crashes.

Had an error a few times on Saturday where the main menu when starting the game wouldn't load unless my PC had fresh booted, but it didn't happen again on Sunday or today. Also, 80% of the time I'd get a 'Deus Ex has stopped working' on exiting the game, but no problems at all in game.

Loved every minute! It ran absolutely fine on nearly top settings on a 4870 512MB (although thats obv DX9 mode).

I've had no problems running it on an Alienware M11x R1, although it is making the GPU run outrageously hot - possibly bad cooling might be causing throttling and crashing for some people?

Switching off tessellation seems to have sorted me out so far which is odd as I wasn't experiencing frame rate issues and the card was not particularly hot either (5870 Vapour-X). Don't really notice much of a difference to the graphics.

Guys, if you're running an nVidia card, don't choose MLAA. Use FXAA instead.

I had some random freezes and crashes, so I went looking for what MLAA is (I'd never heard of it). Turns out it's an AMD GPU thing. I turned to FXAA, which I know, and I've not had a problem since. Everything else is on full whack, including tessellation.

MLAA is also responsible for the small black dots where polygons join if you're using an nVidia card.

Thanks Phalanx, I'll switch to FXAA and see how it rolls.
