trailer looks good....fight with the big augmented guy just reminded me of Guther *sniff - memories* Hopefully that's a sign they're lifting things from the first game. Reinstalls. Still can't believe there hasn't been a source mod of the original made!
The black mesa source team have said they are going to bash one out when they are done remaking half life
Reinstalling... Thanks, guys. Thanks. On a more serious note, I REALLY hope that this lives up to the first game. I can't count how many times I've played through it, and each time it didn't get old. I'll be finishing my new gaming build around the same time as this comes out (That's when I can afford the parts, that is - I'm not THAT slow to build a rig!) so I really do hope they pull this off well.
Same here. Rockpapershotgun have had some articles on it recently too: http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2011/02/03/deus-ex-the-protagonist-trailer/ http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2011/02/03/deus-ex-3s-first-level-blow-by-blow/ http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2011/02/03/dx3-we-didnt-want-to-go-black-white/ http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2011/02/03/deus-ex-human-revolution-impressions/ I'm trying not to get excited. I'm trying not to get swept up in the hype. I'm trying not to get my hopes up... ...But it's really bloody difficult with PC-centric previews giving the game such praise at this early stage. Please don't disappoint us Squareidosnix.
When is this due for release? My local Tesco has it on the shelves for pre-order on Xbox, they've never done that before and they offer a £5 discount if you do.
When is this out? The preview I linked to earlier indicated Euro gamer would have it's review up on the 24th.
I have tried twice in the last 12 months to play the original Deus Ex but just could not get into it. The farthest I managed was about 4 hours before I sacked it off to play something else. I think, for me anyway, it was one of those games that I should of played when it was new. Now its just a complete ball ache to get into as I am completely blinded by the game's old school look and feel. I am however very much looking forward to playing this new sequel. Eddie
Ditto, I just hope it's as good as the original and not totally dumbed down. I would be really surprised if it wasn't dumbed down though. If I was to make a prediction, it's that this game will be to Deus Ex what Bioshock is to System Shock. But if I'm wrong... woohoo!
Bioshock was still a fun game, I'm looking forward to Deus Ex. I'm not expecting it to be as good as the original, but in some ways it will be better, and it should still be a lot more interesting than the usual standard fare FPS drivel we're inundated with at the moment.
