Even the climate on Mars is directly linked to the activity of the sun, we have no control over the sun. According to National Geographic we've lost ~40% of the species in the oceans since 1970.
I love winter. I hate the UK for it. Cold is good, snow is good. All these predictions and scaremongering (yes, I call it that because they say it like it is the end of the world!)... and yet we will probably just have a normal UK Winter. They still won't be prepared though will they? Everything will break, roads iced up, no snow ploughs, no gritters, nothing. Even if none of it happens. What is the point of predictions if they don't do anything about it to make sure the country can still run if it happens?
Not if you're from Manchester, its gotta be bellow freezing before those guys even consider going out in nothing more than a T-shirt.
