when im watching gaming shows on TV and they put 2 people head to head on consoles they have their own screens... this is what im after... some device which allows me to play multiplayer with others and allows each player to have their own screen to play on.. is there any such device around? or is it like something to do with the console?

If I'm not mistaken, they are using seperate consoles 'networked' together, and hooked up to seperate screens.

yeah, that's just a pair of networked boxes. i don't know of any console that supports dual/multiple displays. you may be able to pull off something similar by using a tiled monitor control system (not sure what the name would be) and tweaking the alignment to put one of each of the two/four divided sections roughly on one screen each. i think that would cost some serious money though.

hmm, a few minutes of googling turned up something in the $22,000 range. i'm sure that there are cheaper alternatives available, but just buying another $150 console and a $20 hub would be a better investment.
