(Mods - I don't mean to spam the forum with trailers - just posting a few of the best. Also, no titties in this one. Promise!) Comic-Con, while still being full of narcissists and weirdos, continues to redeem itself with awesome trailers. Dexter, along with Breaking Bad, is probably my favourite still-airing TV show. If there was ever a show that proved Stephen Fry's point of there being no British equivalents of US adult dramas, this is it. BBC take note - enough with the campy sci-fi and costume dramas - instead try to actually produce something which pushes the boundaries of contemporary television (and doesn't just involve hand puppets swearing ).
Oh man I can't wait! Season 4 ended on such a cliff hanger, this is the one show on TV I am seriously addicted to, I've watched each season multiple times, so gripping! I cant wait for S5!
QFT A friend tipped me onto it a year ago and I remember thinking "meh sounds a bit dull" which changed as soon as I'd watched an episode. So looking forward to a new season.
I watched season 4 in two days. It was a case of "oh shi... that episode was tense, one more wont hurt just to find out what happens" 6 episodes later, it's 4am and I have nothing to watch tomorrow! It's so addictive and all the characters are spot on!
Now, now. Some of us enjoy Mongrels for what it is - unsophisticated television. It doesn't have to be some artistic eutopia. Agreed on the lack of adult drama though, definitely more needed on the beeb. Did you watch "Sherlock" tonight? Looked quite good from the snippet I saw.
Hah, fair enough. I just find what the BBC now considers 'edgy' to be completely soul destroying. I saw Sherlock. Wasn't impressed. It's just another rehash of an 'old favourite' that's been given the usual BBC treatment. I find Doctor Who, Merlin and now Sherlock all completely indistinguishable from one another. If it's a budget issue, then they should try to do more joint ventures - like the awesome HBO co-produced Rome. Saying that, IIRC the BBC is back in bed with HBO for their Game of Thrones adaptation, which looks awesome.
