looks like a promising board i must say, however the mounting holes thing is a major disappointment, fair play though.
i would have thought 2 LAN adapters was useless really, what could u use 2 for ?

If you use 2, you get better bandwidth utilization

ICS - saves buying a router
Cross over to 2nd pc for ICS?
    network bridge?

    endless possibilities.

    LOL @ The box cover.

Nice board with lots of goodies! Not for me though.

Using two NICS is handy for network safety also.
We've just ventured into Blackberry in work, and the server (read, old pentium 2) which does all the work has two NIC's. One with our network IP and the other with Vodafone's IP. Making them both seperate and letting the software decide what to let through and what not to let through.

Well maybe Phat, but I'm don't think you'll ever be replacing the mobo in that PC with a DFI board ;)

Really DFI's point of including two may just be for simplicity; you take your box to a LAN and use one port and when you get home you use the other... no worrying about network settings changing etc...

At the end of the day it's just a feature that NF2 allows you to add to the board cheaply, so they have.

Good point/idea... One you keep setup as a static IP at home, the other you can setup with a dynamic IP for a lan or whatever.

Must admit i was gutted when i first realised no mounting in the board but then I though.........hang on I'm surrounded with Danger Den gudness and more to the point........socket hold down kits and as I'd never used one I thought this was the idea opportunity.

And after a bit of a rub with 1200 grit wet and dry and then a bit more of a rub with some Solvol Autosol...........Mint!

Nothing was going to stop me kicking one of these into life....no way
