    :wallbash: That's a pretty big con.. :p

DFI is quite good for overclocking.

I would've gone for the DFI as well, for the obvious reasons, and also the fact that Asus' website is incredibly crap. I'm not buying an Asus mobo again because of that.

I'm thinking about the DFI as well....although I'm getting an X850XT so there's no point of getting an SLI board :/

I'm not doing SLi either but I simply couldn’t find (looking for 5min ;)) a single PCIe slot mobo that has any ware near the features of there SLi cousins.

I've now just got to wait till the SoundBlaster X-Fi is out then i’m done spending money on my computer for a good few years...

it's gonna costa fortune, but that does look like it's a big upgrade for music lovers and gamers :-D . I'm quite sad that Abit hasn't come out with a kick ass SLi setup as I quite like there motherboards. Asus tends to win reviews where overclocking isn't really considered otherwise the DFI wins when oc'ing and also looks alot nicer if you ask me.

As far as looks are concerned, I think the DFI looks pretty damned fugly tbh. If they weren't £140 i'd vinyl dye the slots etc... As far as motherboards are concerned, the DFI seems to be the elephants gonads atm.

[edit] That SB is going to be absolute rape. Let's hope they get drivers sorted for it... :p[/edit]

The only thing the ASUS board has up on the DFI is it's passive NB sink. And, of course, the price. Aside from that, it's DFI all the way.

(edit) Oh yeah, and the DFI board's black PCB is t3h r0x0rs (/edit)

The older ones (Vanilla and "deluxe") did, but this is the new "premium" variant.

The premium uses a heatpipe cooler on the northbridge IIRC?
